The Client of this Project, who belongs to the U.S.A owns several ranches that consist of multiple herds of cattle. Our Client approached Us with an idea of building a Software Solution that would help him and other Cattle Rearing Businesses to track and keep records of their Cattle easily and efficiently. In this Project, We made use of technologies such as RFID and GPS/GIS to help keep track of the cattle by sitting at one place.

Here are the key features We implemented in this Software:
  • Functionality for the creation of multiple databases for different herds.
  • GPS Navigation facility that provides direction to a Cattle’s position.
  • Geo-fencing functionality that creates a virtual perimeter and immediately sends notification (including the cattle's ID number and exact location) to the Owner in case any animals crosses over the specified area boundary.
  • Feature that allows Owners to record and manage information of every animal in a herd which includes unique ID number, age, health status, pedigree information, and more.
  • Cattle health monitoring system- With the help of various sensors attached/implanted in the cattle, this functionality tracks their behavior and health conditions such as lameness/non-movement, speed of walking, calving, pregnancy, panic and many more. The system then automatically sends a notification to the Owner on the identification of an illness or any unusual cattle behavior.
  • Theft detection functionality which automatically sends notifications of theft and/or hostile condition to the Owner on detection of suspected collar cuts.

We built a complete Farm Accounting Software and implemented the following features and functionalities:
